Welcome to R Theory Cycleworks

At R Theory Motorsports, innovation has always been at the core of what we do. From our V1 Miata Rear Diffuser—one of the first direct bolt-on diffusers for the Miata—to our OEM-inspired hood and fender vents, we've never been afraid to push boundaries. We love motorsports, trying new things, and setting trends.

But our love for engineering doesn’t stop at cars. Mountain biking has always been a huge part of my life, and in many ways, it shares the same spirit as motorsports. We’ve actually written a blog about the similarities between the two, which you can check out here!

Before I got into cars, bikes were my world. As a kid, my friends and I rode everywhere—whether it was to the park, the store, or just to see where the road took us. Now, as an adult, nothing compares to the freedom of hitting a mountain bike trail. Just you, your bike, the forest, and the challenge ahead. You’re constantly reading the terrain, picking the best lines, and flowing through the turns—just like you do at the racetrack. Instead of dodging bumps and slower cars, you're weaving around roots, rocks, and maybe the occasional squirrel.

For a long time, I wanted to start making bike parts, but I wasn’t sure where to begin. The industry is packed with companies making high-quality stems, pedals, and other components. If R Theory was going to enter the bike world, we needed to do it in a way that truly stood out. It had to be something that simply didn’t exist yet—no compromises.

Coming up with something completely new isn’t easy. Following a well-worn path is simple, but blazing your own trail? That’s the challenge I wanted. After months of brainstorming and sketching ideas, I finally landed on something that I knew could make a real impact in the mountain biking community.

The moment I started designing the first prototype, it felt like play, not work. We fast-tracked machining, ran FEA simulations, and even tested it in the brutal winter cold. Now, we’re almost ready to launch, and I can’t tell you how excited the R Theory team and I are to share what we’ve been working on!

As we build out the new R Theory Cycleworks website, our first few products will be temporarily available in our R Theory Motorsports store. As of today, we haven’t launched anything just yet—but that’s about to change in a few days! If you haven’t already, make sure to follow R Theory Cycleworks on Instagram and Facebook for updates.

Thank you for all the support you’ve given R Theory Motorsports over the years, we are going to push even harder to develop and deliver ground breaking motorsports products. We’re also beyond excited to take this next step with R Theory Cycleworks—and we hope you’ll join us for the ride!
