If you look under a pre-2010 car, it’s very rare that you would find one equipped with a Flat Underbody from the factory. But now a days many manufacturers are finding benefits to Flat Underbodies and are starting to put them on most modern Sports Cars and sometimes even family cars. Benefits of putting our Flat Underbody Kit on your Miata are:
-Less drag resulting in less fuel consumption
-Less drag leading to better acceleration and/or top speed (depending on other vehicle factors)
-Reduced aerodynamic lift
-Better Rear Diffuser performance
The idea behind a flat floor is to create a smooth surface for air to travel along. This is done is by attaching a flat panel to the bottom of the car to cover up the frame, driveline components, exhaust components, and anything else that would create drag and turbulence.

Fitment Notes *Please Read*
Our Flat Underbody is designed to bolt to our Frame Rail Braces and the OEM Rear Subframe Braces found on NA8s and NBs. The ladder brace on NB2s (2001-2005) has a cross bar that will interfere with the flat floor. You have to either cut off the intrusive cross bar or swap to an earlier NA or NB1 style ladder brace. If you have any confusion on this matter, please reach out to us! Our kit will work with Frame Rails made by other companies, but you will have to re-drill the holes on the Flat Underbody if their hold spacing is different.
*Rear Diffusers and Frame Rails sold seperately*
